Does your child struggle with bedwetting? Are you worried about recurring infections of the urinary tract? Is there something about your child's genital development that you find concerning? Have you ever wondered if circumcision is medically necessary?
Children's Urology Clinic Philippines is an online resource for awareness, education, and consultations involving urologic conditions in children and teens. These conditions include, but are not limited to, urinary tract infections; foreskin problems; congenital anomalies; hernias; differences or disorders of genitalia and sex; and difficulties with urination, bedwetting, or continence.
Children are not small adults.
Children and teens need specialized and sensitive urologic care that is provided in a warm, welcoming, and understanding environment.
Procedures, examinations, and questions related to your child's urinary tract or genitalia may be difficult or even traumatic. Moreover, children have specific needs and medical issues that should be addressed differently from the urologic needs of adults.
Urologic diagnoses can be challenging.
Urologic conditions range from the benign and mildly bothersome, to the life-changing and deeply challenging.
As part of our advocacy to helping families cope with diagnoses, we also aim to connect parents and patients with other families or support groups that may help when dealing with challenging urologic diagnoses.
More education and awareness is needed.
Our content is authored by our resident pediatric urology specialist, Dr. Kay Rivera, DPBU, FPUA, DRCPSC. We share the advocacy of improving urologic care for children in the Philippines, and improving access to information and to this specialized care. As such, we seek to make free, easy-to-understand resources more widely available through this website and our social media platforms.
Please explore our site for more information on these topics, or send us a message to ask your urology questions! You may also book online or in-person visits through the Contact Us page.
